4. Peony Flowers ($30)
Love O'Meter Scale: Just Starting Something Exciting
With a recorded history that dates back thousands of years, it’s not surprising that even the mythology surrounding the origin of the peony has multiple versions. One legend has it that the peony is named after Paeon, a physician to the gods, who received the flower on Mount Olympus from the mother of Apollo. And another tells the story of that same physician who was “saved” from the fate of dying as other mortals by being turned into the flower we know today as the peony.
The traditional floral symbol of China, the state flower of Indiana, and the 12th wedding anniversary flower, peonies are known as the flower of riches and honor. With their lush, full, rounded bloom, peonies embody romance and prosperity and are regarded as an omen of good fortune and a happy marriage. Plus, any fan of Gossip Girl, will remember that Chuck Bass waited for Blair Waldorf on the top of the Empire State Building to confess his love to her. Find these at your local florist. 6. Eddera Paris Cleopatra Ring in Hot Pink ($170)
Love O'Meter Scale: Love You Like Anthony & Cleopatra
Eddera's designer, Camille, is a French jeweler living in Los Angeles. In 1996, she attended the very prestigious Ecole Du Louvre in Paris--the jewelry school of the Louvre. She was one of the fifteen students accepted into the elite program and was fortunate enough to study under Adalbert Smoliar, the head jeweler for Van Cleef and Arpels. Simultaneously, she attended the French Institute of Gemology. She graduated in 2000 as a bijoutier-joaillier and a gemologist. While in Paris, Camille worked for Boucheron and Chopard.
After moving to the United States in 2001, Camille was discovered in an elevator by photographer Markus Klinko and unexpectedly began a modeling career. She soon became very successful, working for top photographers such as Ellen Von Unwerth and Robert Maxwell, eventually becoming the face of Noxzema skin care. She kept making jewelry for herself and developed a distinct style: mixing vintage elements with modern jewels. Soon enough, her friends bought her pieces and asked for more. Personal stylists Lisa Michelle Boyd (Charlize Theron, Diane Kruger, Megan Fox) and Charline Roxborough (Nelly Furtado, Kanye West) began borrowing Camille’s pieces to complete red carpet outfits. In January 2008 Camille officially launched Eddera.
In January 2009, celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel (Sienna Miller, Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley, Maria Sharapova) asked Camille to create a line of high-end hair accessories. This led to the creation of a series of headbands that have now been seen on Victoria Beckham, Sarah Jessica Parker, and many others.

10. Hermes Bougainville Clemence Leather 35cm Birkin Bag with Palladium Hardware ($19,999)
Love O'Meter Scale: I Love You Most!
Don't know what a Birkin is? She does! Giving her the most coveted bag in the world, would win you more love than even placing a ring on her finger. The Birkin bag is a handbag by Hermès, handmade in leather and named after actress and singer Jane Birkin. The bag is a symbol of wealth due to its high price and elusiveness to the public. Its prices range from $9,000 to $150,000. Costs escalate according to the type of materials. The bags are distributed to Hermès boutiques on unpredictable schedules and in limited quantities, creating scarcity and, intended or unintended, exclusivity. The bags are handmade in France by expert artisans. The company's signature saddle stitching, developed in the 1800s, is another distinctive feature. Each bag is hand-sewn, buffed, painted, and polished, taking several days to finish. An average bag is created in 48 hours. Leathers are obtained from different tanners in France, resulting in varying smells and textures. Because of the individual craftsmanship, other details of the bags may not all match. The company justifies the cost of the Birkin bag, compared to other bags, based on the meticulous craftsmanship and scarcity
History Fun Facts: In 1981, Hermès chief executive Jean-Louis Dumas was seated next to Jane Birkin on a flight from Paris to London. She had just placed her straw bag in the overhead compartment of her seat, but the contents fell to the ground, leaving her to scramble to replace the contents. Birkin explained to Dumas that it had been difficult to find a leather weekend bag she liked. In 1984, he created a black supple leather bag for her, based on an 1892 design. She used the bag for herself then later changed her mind. Nevertheless, the bag has since become an icon.
